Should be simple, right? We just finish up. Well…
The client filed the articles of organization and applied and received the EIN. Bad news is they didn’t download the CP575 notice (which contains the EIN). Brokers often require a copy of the EIN letter. So far, the client has spent 3 hours on hold with the IRS to get a replacement copy of CP575. Apparently, a call is the only way to get a copy of this notice. The IRS support budget for answering phone calls is cut more every month. For this client, we may need to eventually cancel the existing entity and just start over. Getting all the details right matters!
Let us help you get the details right for your entity creation and then for your tax planning and preparation!
